Jennifer Carter is an accomplished author and a certified canine nutritionist. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in Biological Science and Animal Science and two Master's degrees—one from the University of New Haven and the other from Virginia Tech. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Virginia Tech.
Jennifer is determined to become a fully Certified Nosework Instructor by January 2024, as she is currently enrolled in NACSW Instructor School. Her dedication extends to training her dog, Luce, in various disciplines such as agility, tricks, rally, obedience, nose work, and canicross, and actively competing in canine obstacle course races nationwide. In addition, she serves as the Camp Director at the Mahogany Ridge KidsCamp! for two weeks every summer, inspiring and instructing the next generation of canine handlers.
Furthermore, Jennifer is the Chair of the Board for the Louisa Community Animal Response Team and is fervently working on a book focused on nutrition and rehabilitation. Her commitment to studying Volhard's Motivational Method for the past seven years and her status as an alumna of Volhard camp exemplify her dedication to the field..
